I do not know if the statements attributed to Nancy Pelosi in the article set forth below were actually made by her at any time and I have been unable to verify their accuracy.  If someone can do that for me I would be extremely grateful.  In fact, I would love to have the entire transcript of the press conference.  However, whether she made them or not, they accurately represent the ideology of the left which it takes pains to hide.

Her comments are pure Marxist/Communist/Socialist dogma.  

I have been urging everyone to read David Horowitz’s Unholy Alliance.  What Pelosi’s remarks represent is the evolution of today’s left from the communism of old.  Horowitz makes the point, with ample citations, that the left in this country is communism in a new suit of clothes.

He points out that they believe in the twin illusions that (1) capitalism is bad (evil) and that since America is capitalistic, America is bad (evil) and responsible for all the ills of the world and that (2) man can create a more just and fair society (Utopia) from its ashes if it is destroyed (nihilism).

He explains how the international communist movement of old has morphed into a political coalition here and abroad that seeks to destroy America.  This is the adhesive that binds the left in America to Islamo-Fascist Terrorists and others who wish to destroy America.  That is why the left in America actually wants us to lose the war in Iraq and why it wanted us to lose in Vietnam, and cherishes the UN, and other anti-American institutions and organizations.  

Lynne Cheney asked a penetrating question of Wolf Blitzer when she asked him, “Do you want us to win?”  After sputtering a bit he said yes.  The truth is that he does not want us to win.  The left in America has allied itself with our enemies with a common goal of destroying America and everything it stands for and our liberty along with it.  The left believes in the fantasy of creating a utopian society in which the wealth and income of the country is uniformly distributed even though this failed in the earliest settlements in America in Jamestown and the Plymouth colony and has failed almost every time it has been tried since.  Both attempted to exist as a socialist society and both were forced to convert to private ownership and capitalism (allowing the producer to keep the fruits of his labor.)  If anyone is interested in the contemporary reports of these experiments I will be glad to provide references to written accounts of them which were written at the time.

Nancy Pelosi’s entire economic drivel can be summed up by pointing out that she would kill the goose that lays the golden egg.  A child can see the folly of this.  Another nursery rhyme that comes immediately to mind is the little red hen.  No one wanted to help her make bread but all wanted to help her eat it.  That is socialism.  Little children understand this.  Communism is when they force the little red hen to share her bread and nihilism is when they destroy everything she used with which to make bread out of a blind faith that they can and will make something better than bread and share it with them.  Nancy Pelosi understands this but would destroy the country for her own self aggrandizement.

Every small entrepreneur and his employees can see the folly of her remarks.  There is an immediate and direct benefit to the employees of a small business when the business prospers. I recently (last week) had an employee of a very small business consult me about pending local governmental action to limit what his employer can do on his own property. His employer did not ask him to speak to me.  He did it on his own because he realizes that if his employer has to reduce his production or closes his business he may be unemployed.  The business is so small that he may be the only employee.  I did not ask him but I got that impression.  I mention this because at this level it is very easy to see the relationship between a business that prospers and the benefit to its employees as well as the reverse.

Please read the amazing statements attributed to Nancy Pelosi set forth below.  Whether she made them are not they represent the ideology of the left.  The mere statement of these beliefs is the best argument against them.  Please read the article in light of what I’ve just written.

Nancy Pelosi condemned the new record highs of the stock
market as "just another example of Bush policies helping
the rich get richer". "First Bush cut taxes for the rich
and the economy has rebounded with new record low
unemployment rates, which only means wealthy employers are
getting even wealthier at the expense of the underpaid
working class".

She went on to say "Despite the billions of dollars being
spent in Iraq our economy is still strong and government
tax revenues are at all time highs. "What this really means
is" that business is exploiting the war effort and working
Americans, just to put money in their own pockets".
 
When questioned about recent stock market highs she
responded "Only the rich benefit from these record highs.
Working Americans, welfare recipients, the unemployed and
minorities are not sharing in these obscene record highs".
"There is no question these windfall profits and income
created by the Bush administration need to be taxed at 100%
rate and those dollars redistributed to the poor and
working class".  "Profits from the stock market do not
reward the hard work of our working class who, by their
hard work, are responsible for generating these corporate
profits that create stock market profits for the rich. We
in congress will need to address this issue to either tax
these profits or to control the stock market to prevent
this unearned income to flow to the rich".  
 
When asked about the fact that over 80% of all Americans
have investments in mutual funds, retirement funds, 401K's,
and the stock market she replied "That may be true, but
probably only 5% account for 90% of all these investment
dollars. That's just more "trickle down" economics claiming
that if a corporation is successful that everyone from the
CEO to the floor sweeper benefit from higher wages and job
security which is ridiculous". How much of this "trickle
down" ever get to the unemployed and minorites in our
county? None, and that's the tragedy of these stock market
highs."
 
"We democrats are going to address this issue after the
election when we take control of the congress. We will
return to the 60% to 80% tax rates on the rich and we will
be able to take at least 30% of all currrent lower Federal
Income Tax taxpayers off the roles and increase government
income substantially. We need to work toward the goal of
equalizing income in our country and at the same time
limiting the amount the rich can invest."
 
When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she
replied "We need to raise the standard of living of our
poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an
estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who
need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities.
Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long ways to
guarantee these people the standard of living they would
like to have as"Americans"
 
A Bush spokesperson responded to this interview by saying
"Mrs. Pelosi has set a new standard for the spin business".

 

I just read Ham's piece on Nifong and I agree with it.  I will go even one step further and say that I think Nifong should be disbarred.  I am a lawyer with over 40 years of trial experience and I regret to say that Nifong is not alone in his unethical conduct.  I was personally involved in assuring that an unethical District Attorney in my area was not re-elected.  There are rotten apples in every barrel and I think that an example of Nifong should be made because so many people in politics get away with so much.  The Clintons are a salient example. 

I personnly think that his actions were politically motivated and that he expected to advance his political career with the case.  I suspect that he imagined himself being elected governor or senator a as result of it.  As far as I am concerned, most of the Democrats are like him in the sense that they are prepared to sacrifice anyone and everyone on the altar of their careers and to satisfy their lust for power.  

At least he is now exposed for the opportunist that he is.

Subject: http://www.jerusalemonline.com/ujc.asp   Try the above website.  The video was created by Netanyahu.  It is definitely worth watching.  It set me back in my chair.  It is stunning.  This is what conservatives get and liberal Democrats do not.  Sadly, most Americans are at the mall and are oblivious to what's going on in the world and are ignorant of history.  That will do us in.   Ward Churchill is cheered by students on university campuses.  We have allowed this sort of thing to go on on our university campuses and we continue to allow it in the name of free speech.  It should be noted that when liberals say free speech it means their free speech only.  Conservatives are shouted down and pelted with objects.  May God help us!   It's a truly interesting phenomenon when you try to speak to a liberal who is highly educated and supposedly able to think.  I recently had that experience with my doctor at the VA.  In discussing the NSA wiretapping I told him that he was more afraid of our government than he was terrorists and that I was more afraid of the terrorists and welcomed wire tapping conversations between American citizens and suspected terrorists.  It made him furious.  We are in big big trouble.   I have one in my own family.  One of my daughters who is very bright became extremely angry with me when I said that her friend who is unable to balance her checkbook may simply be dumb.  My observation was accurate and honest but it infuriated my daughter to the point at which she was unable to discuss the issue with me.  I find that interesting and disturbing.  The only thing I can figure out is that I was being politically incorrect in suggesting that a person who appeared to be dumb might be.  This is what truly bothers me.  In the name of political correctness we are supposed to see the Emperor's clothes.

Our military effort in Iraq has been a roaring success as has the political solution.  They have had three general elections and the government is in place and the Iraqis are training their military and police forces to take over.

What is not under control is Iran and Syria on either side of Iraq from which Islamic terrorists are pouring into the country and we have not done anything to speak of to control the active support of terrorists and hostile militia.

The problem is the lack of political will in this country.  Thanks to liberals we are not in a position to confront Iraq and Syria.  Iraq, if it became a successful free thriving democracy would be a dagger in the heart of the Muslim theocracy.  They see it.  Bush sees it.  Many conservatives see it.  Liberals are completely blind to it.

As we sit and wring our hands and complain that we have not had total and immediate success, the beast grows larger and larger as it has been for decades.  How big do we want it to be before we have no choice but to either be destroyed by it or to have the fight of our lives?

The Baker Committee Report is frightening. The committee should be 
called the "Surrender Committee." If we follow its recommendation we 
will have commited the worst betrayal of our friends in the history of
America and the stain of its dishonor will last forever. Furthermore, 
it will guarantee our eventual, and not too distant, defeat at the 
hands of the Muslim world.

 In WWII we lost men at the rate of about 8,000 a month and the nation 
never lost its resolve. In Iraq we have sustained losses at the rate 
of 50 a month and have no resolve. This is largely a result of the 
constant naysaying of the left and the liberal media combined with the 
ignorance of the hoi polloi. George Bush has done his part by
appearing to cave. Hopeful, it is appearance only. He is still the 
president. America is at war and we are at the mall.
 
The meek shall inherit the earth. That means that we will be buried in 
it after we have been tortured and beheaded.

 I think I am the most angry at Christians who mutter platitudes about 
it being God's will and that what is happening is foretold in the 
bible as if they had perfect knowledge of God's plan when Christ 
himself said that no man knows the time or the hour of his return, 
only the father. Most Christians are in the "Christ is coming. Let us 
go and sit on the mountain and contemplate our navels crowd." I wonder 
how many German Jews saw their plight as clearly as I see ours and 
could not stop the holocaust.

Our enemies within are far more deadly than those without and we have 
allowed the cancer of liberalism to grow and fester in our midst. It 
has taken over the educational systems, the major media, Hollywood and 
the political left. It hates America and wants us to be defeated. The 
insanity of it is that they do not realize what is going to happen to 
them when this happens.
